Guru Arcade — the “indie plus” game developer house at Guru Studio on Toronto — has appointed accomplished games artist Lyndsey Gallant as Creative Director. The outfit has just released its first iOS game, Pop Rocket Rescue, since setting up shop in 2014.
Gallant joins Guru Arcade as the latest step in her impressive career of many years developing and designing games with XMG Studio, racking up nearly 20 shipped titles to her name. She will be tasked with the creative oversight and artistic leadership of Guru Studio’s interactive division in her new role.
In addition to her professional experience, Gallant has demonstrated her dedication and enthusiasm for the games industry as a speaker and workshop leader at numerous events, including Casual Connect USA. She is also an active volunteer and mentor a for a number of gaming-centric organizations.
