Leading Canadian producer-distributor Breakthrough Entertainment announces the latest addition to its executive team, with the appointment of Suzanne Wilson as Vice President, Family Entertainment. Wilson will join the award-winning division headed by Joan Lambur, Executive Vice President, Family Entertainment and Executive Producer.
“Suzanne brings a wealth of experience in the family and children’s entertainment business and most importantly understands Breakthrough’s vision in growing and creating premium content for our broadcast partners,” said Lambur.
The new role marks Wilson’s return to Breakthrough, where she held the position of Senior Administrator, Business Affairs from 2010-2013. More recently, she led children’s media acquisitions at TVO for more than three years. Wilson was also instrumental in the development and launch of Centennial College’s Children’s Media post-graduate program.
Wilson’s CV also includes varied production, marketing and business posts at notable entertainment companies BBC Worldwide, Portfolio Entertainment, The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company, Lambur & Associates, and Chocolate Liberation Front. Her experience has spanned curriculum development, to international distribution, to licensing & merchandising.
