Superights Kids & Family Entertainment is sending the two-time Kidscreen Award-winning preschool series Puffin Rock (78 x 7). Initially commissioned by RTEJr (Ireland) and Nick Jr. (UK), the series is a co-production of Oscar-nominated studio Cartoon Saloon, Dog Ears and Penguin Random House.
Puffin Rock has now been picked up by Nick Jr. Australia, DR (Denmark), BBC Alba (Scotland), Sic Kids (Angola & Mozambique), e-Junior (UAE), Hop! (Israel), Daekyo (South Korea) and Good TV (Taiwan). These join previously announced broadcast partners NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden), RUV (Iceland), ABC (Australia) and Netflix. Further, ABC Commercial has secured DVD rights and is planning a season 1 release this spring.
Narrated by comedy star Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, Moone Boy), the series follows the playful, green-themed adventures of adorable sister and brother pufflings, Oona and Baba, as they explore the natural environment of their wild island home with their puffin parents and other animal friends.
