Russian broadcaster CTC Media has secured an exclusive deal with NBCUniversal’s DreamWorks for a slew of animated kids’ series, to be aired on its flagship network CTC.
Included in the package are the DreamWorks Dragons series Riders of Berk, Defenders of Berk and Race to the Edge; Turbo FAST, All Hail King Julien, The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show, The Adventure of Puss in Boots and Dawn of the Croods.
The TV agreement follows CTC’s previous rights deal for DreamWorks Animation feature films.
“Animation is the cornerstone of children’s content programming for CTC network,” said Vyacheslav Murugov, CEO of CTC Media. “Animated series from Dreamworks Animation are one of the best products in its genre, and it is conceptually corresponds with CTC’ family audiences.”
