‘Wonder Woman’ Director Patty Jenkins to Receive PSIFF Award
Palm Springs Int’l Film Festival will honor the first female recipient of its Creative Impact in Directing Award in recognition of her award-winning debut Monster and recent superhero smash hit Wonder Woman — star Gal Gadot will present the award to Jenkins at an intimate brunch ceremony. The fest will also fete its annual Directors to Watch: Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Gangsta), Augustine Frizzell (Never Going Back), Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Joseph Kahn (Bodied), Xavier Legrand (Custody), Carlos Lopez Estrada (Blindspotting), Anthony Maras (The Palace), Samuel Maoz (Foxtrot), Claire McCarthy (Ophelia) and Chloe Zhao (The Rider).
