Following its book-first introduction strategy, Fauna Entertainment has revealed a first look at its new series Brody Luckystar: The Record Breaker (52 x 11′). The 2D-animated comedy follows an enthusiastic girl on her quest to be the best … at something!
Brody Luckystar has everything in the world going for her: street smarts, drive, the ability to listen to podcasts while juggling golf balls … But, for all of Brody’s pluses, she’s missing the pièce de résistance: A world record. It’s not just that everyone in her family already has a record — everyone in the whole town does, too. Brody badly wants to break a record so she can fit in, but how far will she go? Do records really matter?
The series currently has two scripts written by Eric Shaw (SpongeBob SquarePants, Big Nate), a bible and a pilot episode animated under production. Fauna will offer a first look and pitch the project to commissioners and co-production partners at Kidscreen. Brody Luckystar: The Record Breaker‘s production budget is approximately $5.2 million USD.
Following the successful launch of the first Brody Luckystar novel in mid-2021, Fauna will publish two new activity books this year.
