A new trailer for Caribbean kids’ animated feature The Caddy Club has hit the links, offering audiences a first look at Disney and Lion Forge Animation alum Kafi Kareem’s debut long-form project. Produced by Trinidad and Tobago studio StoryPlay Media, the film is a musical superhero story about five kids at golf camp who discover a magical portal, which gives them incredible powers.

Kareem, whose writing credits include the animated kids’ series Drawn In for Nine PBS, is also the creator of short-form adult comedy webtoon Big Man Dan, which won a CaribbeanTales Big Pitch Award. Her pitch for The Caddy Club won the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival’s Caribbean Film Mart Best Pitch Prize, and was subsequently developed with support from private and public grant funding in Trinidad and Tobago. The microbudget production is a unique entry in the emerging Caribbean cinema scene.
