The ultra hip teen superheroes out of Paris are ready to bring their big screen adventure to screens everywhere, when Netflix premieres Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie! Ahead of the magical streaming debut on July 28, the streamer has released an official trailer filled with all the action, comedy and awkward teenage romance fans dig about the popular ZAG franchise.

“I grew up in the 1980s watching Japanese anime, Disney animated classics and superhero fare from the U.S., as well as classic family movies directed by the likes of Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus. You can see all those influences in our movie,” says Jeremy Zag, director of the film and founder of ZAG. “The DNA of the movie is quite special, so the final result is a mix of mainstream adventures — it’s sometimes spooky and often spectacular with big action sequences like Marvel films and musical elements like everyone’s favorite Disney movies.”

Synopsis: The first feature film based on the globally beloved Miraculous franchise, Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie follows ordinary teenager Marinette, whose life in Paris goes superhuman when she becomes Ladybug. Bestowed with magical powers of creation, Ladybug must unite with her opposite, Cat Noir, to save Paris as a new villain unleashes chaos unto the city.
