Spellbinding Final Chapter of ‘The Swan Princess’ Series Arrives Sept. 19

After nearly 30 years, the animated fantasy saga of The Swan Princess concludes its magical tale with The Swan Princess: Far Longer Than Forever. The CG-animated, PG-rated feature film (80 min.) will be available on Digital on September 19, followed by a DVD release on October 24 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Synopsis: Eager to discover the truth about his late father, King Derek and Queen Odette set off on an epic adventure. As newly appointed members of the Council of Crowns, Derek and Odette begin to “smoke out” the true story. But an attempt on their lives drives them undercover, where they pose as the Barrymores, world-famous traveling magicians. With the help of Rogers, Scully and the animals, Derek and Odette piece the mystery together, only to have it all unravel. Will they ever know the truth about King Max?

The final chapter is once again by Richard Rich, who began the series with 1994’s 2D-animated feature, and has also directed Disney’s The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron, the 1999 The King and I animated feature (WB) and several Alpha & Omega sequels. Franchise scribe Brian Nissen penned the screenplay, based on a story by Rich and Nissen. Rich also serves as producer, alongside Seldon O. Young and Jared F. Brown.

The Swan Princess: Longer Than Forever features the voices of Nina Herzog as Odette and Yuri Lowenthal as Derek.
