The American Film Institute (AFI) announced today that Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowlwill have its World Premiere at AFI FEST. The family-friendly film will screen in the afternoon on October 27, the Closing Day of the festival, at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood as part of the Red Carpet Premieres section. Aardman’s four-time Academy Award-winning director Nick Park and Emmy Award-nominated director Merlin Crossingham return with a brand new epic adventure, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. In this next installment, Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart” gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master… or Wallace may never be able to invent again!

The movie will premiere worldwide on Netflix (excluding the U.K.) this winter.
AFI FEST presented by Canva will take place October 23–27. The full festival lineup will be unveiled on October 1.
