Cinanima Announces 2024 Festival Prize Winners

On Sunday, the 48th edition of Portugal’s Cinanima (cinanima.pt) festival of animated film wrapped up in Espinho, announcing the year’s prize winners after 10 days of screenings and events.

In the international short film competition, Nicolas Keppens’ stop-motion piece Beautiful Men picked up another Academy Award-qualifying honor, winning the Grand Prize Espinho City Award. Other key prizes went to Alexandra Ramires & Laura Gonçalves’ Percebes (Antonio Gaio Award for a Portuguese short), Song Ye’s Unrecognized Character Detected (Gaston Roch Award for a student film) and Adam Elliot’s Memoir of a Snail (Grand Prize for feature film)
