Animated Nickelodeon favorites such as Doug, My Life As a Teenage Robot, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and The Penguins of Madagascar are among the shows leaving Paramount+ this month, according to a report on Deadline today.
Created by Jim Jinkins, Doug first aired on Nickelodeon from Aug. 1991 to Jan. 1994. Along with shows such as Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern World and Aaaahh!! Real Monsters, it was one of the popular series of “Nicktoons” that put the children’s cable outlet on the map.
Among the list of shows leaving Paramount+ are:
- ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks
- AwesomenessTV
- Big Time Rush
- Blue’s Room

Fans of Nick’s classic toons are hoping that other streamers like Netflix, Hulu or Prime Video will pick up the rights for these shows as Paramount+ makes room for newer animated titles on its lineup. Paramount+ is not alone in removing older shows from its library: Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, The Thundermans, and Drake & Josh are set to leave Hulu on January 1. According to a Reddit post, Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Static Shock and Green Lantern will also leave Max on Dec. 31. Disney+ recently removed Hailey’s On It, while Cartoon Network shows such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10, Chowder, The Powerpuff Girls, Steven Universe and The Bare Bears migrated from Max to other streamers like Hulu and Netflix.
