Voice Cast for Netflix Animated Adventure ‘In Your Dreams’ Announced

Marking National Dream Day (March 11), Netflix has revealed the “dream cast” of its upcoming animated family feature In Your Dreams, set to premiere this Fall. the project is directed by Alex Woo (one of Animation Magazine‘s 2025 Rising Stars of Animation) and co-directed by Erik Benson.

In Your Dreams is a comedy adventure about Stevie and her brother Elliot who journey into the absurd landscape of their own dreams. If the siblings can withstand a snarky stuffed giraffe, zombie breakfast foods and the queen of nightmares, the Sandman will grant them their ultimate dream come true … the perfect family.

“When I started this film I set out to tell a heartfelt story that explored the magical and often hilariously absurd world of dreams. What I didn’t expect was how memorable and emotional the performances were going to be,” said Woo. “I guess that’s what happens when you’re lucky enough to work with such an extraordinary cast!”

Golden Globe-nominated actress Cristin Milioti (The Penguin, Palm Springs) will voice Mom, joining the cast alongside Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as Dad and Craig Robinson (The Office) as Baloney Tony. The voice cast of In Your Dreams also features Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Stevie, Elias Janssen as Elliot, Omid Djalili, Gia Carides, SungWon Cho and Zachary Noah Piser.

“Cristin is an EGOT-level talent. She can sing. She can act. I haven’t seen her dance, but I’m sure she could give Ginger Rogers a run for her money. You believe every performance Cristin gives and that’s every director’s dream come true,” Woo added.

“Jolie and Elias are the heart and soul of this movie. They truly carry the film, which is remarkable for any actor, but even more so for performers their age. Each recording session felt like playtime, and I hope audiences have as much fun watching the film as we had making it.”

“As someone whose worldview was heavily influenced by the animation I devoured as a kid, I’m excited to be a part of Alex Woo’s moving and tender film,” said Miloti.

Liu noted, “I was absolutely moved reading the script for In Your Dreams,  and I’m so incredibly honored to be cast alongside the incredible Cristin Miloti.”

Bringing to life the kids’ talking giraffe toy, Robinson added, “So excited to dust off my favorite toy and be a part of this dream world full of Baloney … Tony! Can’t wait for everyone to come on the adventure!”

Directors Woo and Benson wrote the screenplay for In Your Dreams, from a story by Woo and Stanley Moore. Producers are Timothy Hahn, p.g.a., and Gregg Taylor, p.g.a. The film features music by John Debney.
