FableVision Nabs Library Assoc. and Parents’ Choice Awards

Boston-based media developer and publisher FableVision has been raking in the awards in recent weeks. The company’s Essay Express K12 writing software was the recipient of a top honor for the American Library Assoc.’s Liberary Service for Chlidren. Also FableVision’s animated digital film Ish, based on Peter Reynolds’ book, was the recipient of the ALSC Notable Children’s Video Award.

“This latest string of honors represent FableVision’s appeal across markets, age span and media platforms,’ says the company’s president, Peter Reynolds. ‘We’re offering universal appeal through the power of story.”

Ish centers on a young artist named Ramon who is first discouraged by his older brother, but finds inspiration in the way his younger sister sees his work. The short has also been selected to screen at this year’s prestigious Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

FableVision was founded ten year ago by twin brothers Peter and Paul Reynolds. Peter H. Reynolds’ success as a children’s book author/illustrator (Judy Moody, The Dot, Ish) has also helped position FableVision as an award-winning content provider across multiple platforms to global consumer and classroom markets.
