Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Canada’s Teletoon Retro is polling its viewers to find the top five classic cartoon sweethearts.
Visitors to the channel’s website at www.teletoonretro.com, have until Feb. 6 to vote for their favorite cartoon couples.
The choices include:
- Smurfette and Hefty Smurf
- He-Man and Frosta
- Fred and Wilma Flintstone
- Barney and Betty Rubble
- George and Jane Jetson
- Clark Kent and Lois Lane
- Fred and Daphne (Scooby-Doo)
- Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm Bamm Rubble
- Wonder Woman and Superman (Super Friends)
- The Baroness and Destro (G.I. Joe)
- Pepe Le Pew and Penelope cat
- Batman and Catwoman
- Alvin and Britney
- Shaggy and Scooby-Doo
- Granny and Tweety
- Optimus Prime and Elita One
- Josie and Alan M (Josie and the Pussycats)
- She-Ra and Pirate Sea Hawke
The winners will be announced Feb. 11, with a special programming marathon spotlighting the top-five couples airing as part of the Retro Rewind block on Feb. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. ET.
The poll follows up on the channel’s recent Hall of Fame poll, which inducted Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo, Optimus Prime, Batman and Spider-Man.
