The 2014 Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) has announced its worldwide call for entries. The biggest toon-dedicated film fest in North America will take place in Canada’s capital September 17-21 and invites animators to submit new work for consideration to various categories, including Independent Short Films, Feature Films, Commissioned Films (series, commercials, music videos), Student Films and Films Made for Children.
This year’s event will for the first time recognize non-television platform series but opening the Series for Children and Series for Adults categories to these new distribution models. 2014 entrants will also now be able to submit their films via web link (and, as always, OIAF charges no entry fees!).
Entries must be received by May 16; the deadline for preview DVDs is May 30. For more information and the online entry form, go to www.animationfestival.ca.
