Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts) in British Columbia is masterminding a touring masterclass in story development, character design & animation taught by artists from the inimitable Pixar Animation Studios. These two- and three-day training events with instructors Andrew Gordon (animation), Matthew Luhn (story development) and Ricky Nierva (character design) will be held around the world through late summer and fall, stopping in Paris (Aug. 1-3), London (Aug. 8-10), Chicago (Aug. 22-23), Vancouver (Sept. 26-27), Montreal (Oct. 24-25) and Austin, Texas (Nov. 7-8).
Story, Character & Animation Masterclass is geared toward animators, writers, character designers, game and app developers, filmmakers and other creators and artists, offering a rare opportunity to learn from top industry talent who will provide participants with the tools needed to help create their own stories and feature-quality animation.
