DreamWorks Animation has hired Fazal Merchant as its new chief financial officer, a role he will take over from the company’s new vice-chairman Lew Coleman effective Sept. 15.
Merchant most recently worked at DirecTV as senior VP and CFO of DirecTV Latin America.
His main goal will be to expand DreamWorks Animation brands globally.
Merchant’s also has worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays Capital and Ford Motor Co.
