The lovable, foul-mouthed tykes of South Park are back with an entire season of animated hijinks on DVD and Blu-ray.
South Park: The Complete Fourteenth Season (Paramount, $49.99 DVD, $57.99 Blu-ray) features 14 episodes of the series, including the landmark 200th episode that saw all the celebrity characters who had been parodied on the show filing a class action lawsuit against the town. The set also includes episode 201, which drew international controversy when Comedy Central censored the appearance of the Islamic prophet Mohammed following online threats of violence from Islamic extremists.
The set also arrives just ahead of the start of the 15th season of South Park, which returns Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. Here’s a preview of the first new episode.
Also arriving this week are the Marvel version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in The Avengers: Vol. 1, Heroes Assemble (Disney, $19.99) and The Avengers: Vol. 2, Captain America Reborn! (Disney, $19.99). These two volumes collect all 13 episodes from the first season of this Disney XD series. Bonus features include a look at what’s coming in season two.
