The eclectic KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival (klikamsterdam.nl/festival) wrapped up over the weekend, awarding Polish animator Piotr Dumala’s Hippopotamy (Hippos) the Best Animated Short prize. “The director created a world that completely encapsulated and hypnotized the viewer … This film carried with it such a compelling and chilling narrative it left us discussing its merits, message, and purpose at great length”, the jury commented.
The KLIK! Audience Award goes to Bear Story by Gabriel Osorio from Chile. Second place goes to The Elephant and the Bicycle by Olesya Shchukina (France. Belgium), and the third place is Oh My Dog! by Chloé Alliez (Belgium)
