This Saturday, October 15, anime fans can at last catch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood on air as it makes its Adult Swim debut in the Toonami block, at 12:30 a.m ET/PT. VIZ Media is the master distributor for the multi-generational paranormal adventure series, and also publishes print and digital editions of the manga.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is based on the critically acclaimed Shonen Jump manga series by Hirohiko Araki, and follows the exploits of the Joestar family and its battle against evil down the generations.
In the anime series, the Aztecs – the people of the sun – once prospered in ancient Mexico. They had a bizarre stone mask that brought eternal life and the power of a domineering ruler to he who wore it, but at some point, the mask disappeared without a trace.
