Central & Eastern Europe’s leading pitch event for animation, the Visegrad Animation Forum (VAF), is now open for submissions for its 5th annual edition. Projects can be entered for consideration until January 29, 2017. The Forum is being held May 2-4 in Trebon, Czech Republic, in conjunction with the Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films (May 2-7).
VAF features two competition categories for animated projects in development: Short Films (individual films less than 20 minutes long) and Series / TV Specials (web and TV series of any format and individual films over 20 minutes’ duration). For the first time, both category winners will receive 2,000 EUR in financial support for further development. Additionally, the winning TV Series project gets direct entry to Cartoon Forum.
