Imagine playing your favorite video game or watching your favorite TV show or movie in eye-popping stereoscopic 3D. At Internet World, X3D Technologies Corporation will unveil a new technology that transforms TV broadcasts, videos and games in realtime from 2D to 3D, on any PC with a CRT monitor.
Called X3D (eXtreme Three Dimensional), the technology makes images appear to float in space in and outside of the screen, literally adding a new dimension to education, entertainment and gaming content on the Internet. A demonsration and press conference will be held on Tuesday, Oct.1 at 5 p.m. in the Galleria Room of Exhibit Hall 3D, at the Jacob Javits Center.
The press conference will also preview upcoming events, including the first championship chess match to be broadcast on the Internet in true 3D and a 3D webcast of famous works of art from the Louvre Museum in Paris.
The X3D system includes everything required to convert 2D into eXtreme 3D, including wire and wireless glasses, receiver, connecting cords, infrared transmitter, install system software and TV and DVD conversion software. For more information, visit www.3dworld.com.
