Mel Alcock is the new executive director of commercial sales at Fox Kids Europe (www.foxkidseurope.com), where he will be in charge of advertising sales and sponsorship revenue for all Fox Kids channels and online & interactive operations throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Alcock retains his position as group commercial director at the interactive-software developer Digital Interactive Television Group, which has been responsible for interactive applications across a wide range of U.K. broadcasters, including Cartoon Network and Disney.
Previously, Alcock worked at Sky, where he established the business models for the online shopping franchise Sky Buy, the gaming portal SkyGamestar and Sky Mobile. He has also held posts at Flextech, where he was general manager of the home shopping channel Screenshop, United Artists and Austin West Media Ltd.
