Sony Pictures Imageworks has promoted Randy Lake to the post of executive vice president and general manager.
Lake will manage overall operations, strategy and planning for the visual effects house, working in conjunction with senior visual effects supervisor Ken Ralston and executive VP of production Debbie Denise.
He joined the company three years ago as a corporate development executive and played a major role in acquiring what is now Imageworks India. He also has developed strategic plans for Imageworks and Sony Pictures Animation.
Prior to Imageworks, Lake was a strategy consultant to the entertainment, media and technology industries for Booz Allen.
