Jamie Waese had been appointed head of current programming for Toronto-based Cookie Jar Entertainment.
Waese comes to the job from a writing and producing background. For Cookie Jar, he wrote, produced and directed three seasons of The Doodlebops, wrote and co-directed Doodlebops Live! and produced and co-directed the Christmas special Gotta Catch Santa Claus, featuring William Shatner as the voice of Santa. Prior to Cookie Jar, Waese worked for Kids’ CBC, Walt Disney TV Animation and Hanna Barbera/Turner Feature Animation.
In his new job, Waese will handle all creative elements of the company’s production slate and report to Pam Slavin, VP head of production.
‘Jamie is an industry veteran with a strong background in production and programming and will be a great asset to the company. We look forward to utilizing his expertise to deliver the best possible quality programming to our broadcasters,’ said Slavin.
