Fox is Hungry for Fourth Season of ‘Bob’s Burgers’

Everybody wants more Bob’s Burgers. Loren Bouchard’s offbeat animated series just got the greenlight for a fourth season of 22 episodes on FOX. The show, which has been one of last year’s biggest new animated hits ranks second in its Sunday night period (8:30 p.m.) among adult men and male teens. Exec produced and written by Bouchard and Jim Dauterive, the series follows the misadventures of a third-generation restaurateur who runs his burger place with his wife and three eccentric kids.  The most recent episode of the show drew 4.9 million viewers, with a 2.3 in the 18 to 49 demographic.

The 20th Century Fox-produced series offers a star-studded list of guest voices this season. They include Zach Galifianakis, Kevin Kline, Jon Hamm, Jeffrey Tambor, Aziz Ansari, Bill Hader and Sarah and Laura Silverman. The beef-loving family will get their own Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes as well.

Kevin Reilly, the network’s chairman of entertainment, said, “We love Bob’s. We are really proud of the way the show has grown over the past three seasons – without losing the unique voice at its core – and we know that the best is yet to come for Bob’s Burgers and its fans.”

The rest of the Fox Animation Domination lineup—The Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad—have already been renewed for 2013-14.
