Dust off your tiara and pick your fancy pants up from the dry cleaners! On Saturday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m. The Hub will introduce the newest addition to the royal family with a special coronation episode of its hit animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (produced by Hasbro Studios). The highly anticipated episode will see Twilight Sparkle finally become a princess and will be celebrated with fun special events from the network—including a nine-episode My Little Pony Princess Coronation Marathon from 6-10:30 a.m. showcasing the pony’s journey to princess-dom.
To celebrate, The Hub will host an L.A.-based, invitation only My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Coronation Concert, hosted by Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan with a special guest appearance by Olympic Gold Medal runner Carmelita Jeter. The Concert will herald the arrival of the new “Royal” with an interactive sing-along screening on Saturday, February 9, and will be in support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Pony fans will have opportunities to win tickets to the event through giveaways with several online sites.
Viewers can also participate in all the pomp and circumstance of the coronation with a variety of exclusive digital content launching Feb. 1 on www.hubworld.com, including downloadable at-home viewing party accessories, activities and recipes at www.hubworld.com/MLPprincess. There will also be a new “Racing is Magic” game.
