Cartoon Forum Eryri, one of Europes biggest animation events, is underway at Faenol Estate in Bangor, North Wales, U.K. During the three days of meetings and presentations, more than 700 participants, including influential producers, programmers and investors, will be introduced to 80 brand projects available for co-production shares, broadcast and video deals and merchandising agreements.
While Cartoon Forum is aimed at facilitating European animation productions and distribution, its also viewed by animation professionals around the world as a barometer for market trends and a launchpad for new talent and international properties. Animation Magazine Online has been highlighting some of those projects in the recent weeks, and will keep you posted on which ones meet with success this year.
Five short films have been selected to compete for the coveted Cartoon d’Or, to be awarded during the Cartoon Forum’s closing evening, on Saturday, Sept. 21.
