Atomic Betty Aims For MIPCOM Breakthrough

Breakthrough Films and Television announces a partnership with Atomic Cartoons and Phil Roman Ent. to co-produce Atomic Betty, a new half-hour animated TV series currently in development with TELETOON Canada. The show about a little girl with a secret identity as a legendary defender of the universe, will be at MIPCOM 2002 and is available for presales.

Atomic Betty is a joint venture between producers Ira Levy and Peter Williamson of Breakthrough Films and Television and Fresh Produce partners Kevin Gillis (The Raccoons, Robocop: The Series, Eckhart the Series) and Steven Hecht; producers/series creators, Trevor Bentley, Rob Davies, Mauro Casalese and Olaf Miller of Atomic Cartoons; and six-time Emmy winner, Phil Roman of Phil Roman Ent. Kevin Gillis is producing for Breakthrough.

Breakthrough Ent., a sister company of Breakthrough Films and TV, is a worldwide distributor of the series. Phil Roman Ent. is providing executive producing services, and is the show’s sales agent in the U.S.
