A 2D animated show about a tiny superhero who fights microscopic villains is ready to put Singapore toon house Scrawl Studios on the map. Scrawls NANOBOY series was previewed this past week at the MIPTV market in Cannes. It has already secured distributors for Asia (Agogo Intl. Limited) and English-speaking Europe (Village Productions).
The show follows the adventures of the small protagonist, his reformed female virus pal, and a brain cell plucked from Albert Einsteins head as they fight contaminants and germs, teaching kids a few things about health and hygiene.
From concept to screen, the creative team at Scrawl Stduios and Hong Kong-based Agogo spent close to 18 months developing NANOBOY, which originated as an AI game for mobile platforms.
The 12-minute pilot episode of the toon was produced with a grant from the Media Development Authoritys Digital Content Development Scheme. For more info visit www.scrawlstudios.com
