Founded by award-winning animation filmmaker Jordan Reichek, Perky Pickle Studios has opened its doors in Burbank, Calif. The full-service commercial animation production company is already developing animated commercial properties based on the works of avant-garde artist Robert Williams, and is creating the CG childrens series Kozmix with pop surrealist Kenny Scharf.
Reichek and Scharf recently collaborated on the CG special The Groovenians for S4c Studios, set to air during Cartoon Networks Adult Swim block on Nov. 10.
Reichek is also in development on Cat Show, an original Cartoon Network pilot. His previous credits include producer/director of the pilot episode of Invader Zim for Nickelodeon and the series Baby Huey for Universal Animation. He also worked as an animator on Ren and Stimpy for Spumco.
