Apple TV+ is ready to reboot the smiles of classic Jim Henson fans with Fraggle Rock: Rock On! — a new series bringing back the music-loving, cave-dwelling Muppet creatures of Fraggle Rock (1983-87). The streamer has launched the official teaser trailer with an up-tempo take on the Fraggles’ classic “Dance your cares away” theme to get your tail swinging.
The short-form kids’ series launched today, with new mini-episodes (shot on iPhone 11s from the homes of production team members and individual artists across the U.S., per COVID-19 “Safer at Home” guidelines) will roll out every Tuesday.
=Synopsis: The beloved stars of the classic ’80s series — Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley and Uncle Traveling Matt — join together again for new stories and classic Fraggle songs that show everyone how we are all connected through friendship. While the Fraggles might be in different parts of the Fraggle Rock caves, they can still find ways to have fun together, with music, silliness, special guests, and of course the help of devices created by the industrious Doozers — lovingly called the Doozertubes!
