‘Aang: The Last Airbender’ Pushed to 2026

Following close on its big CinemaCon presentation, Paramount Pictures has re-dated two highly anticipated animated premieres. In addition to the with-trailer reveal that Transformers One is arriving one week later than expected (September 20), the updated release calendar moves Aang: The Last Airbender from Oct. 10, 2025 to January 20, 2026.

The first in Paramount and Nickelodeon Studios’ animated trilogy returning to the world of Avatar: The Last AirbenderAang is being directed by series alum Lauren Montgomery (Superman: Doomsday, Wonder Woman, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) and co-directed by William Mata (Dora and the Fantastical Creatures), with series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko executive producing alongside Eric Coleman.

At CinemaCon, Paramount revealed that the movie will voice star singer-songwriter-actor Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as an unnamed villain, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten and Roman Zaragoza. The feature film will center on the titular Avatar in his adult years.
